Getting Started on Joomla
Here we show you the basic steps to add a ConfigBox product and display it on your website.
Go to the ConfigBox admin area
In the Joomla main menu, click Components, then ConfigBox
Add a Product List
On the left-hand-side menu, click on ‘Product Lists’ and click add.
Enter a title of the list and click ‘Save’.
You see the new list now. You are ready to add products and assign them to the list.
Add a ConfigBox Product
Expand ‘Products’ on the left-hand-side menu and click on ‘Add Product’
Enter Product Information
Enter 1) a product title in any activated languages, 2) pick a product list and 3) enter a base price. Then click ‘Save’.
Add a Page
After saving the product, expand the product (click the plus-icon) and click on ‘Add Page’.

Enter a title and save the page.
Add a question
Expand the page (click on the plus-icon) and click on ‘Add Question’.
Enter question information
Enter a title and click ‘Save’.
You now have a fully functional configurable product and you are ready to display the product on the website.
Add a Joomla menu item to your website
In the Joomla main menu, go to ‘Menus’, hover over your main menu and click on ‘Add Menu Item’.

Pick a menu title for the menu item and in the form control ‘Menu Item Type’, click on ‘Select’.

Click on ‘ConfigBox’ to expand and click on ‘Product Listing’.
Pick the product list
After you chose ‘Product Listing’, a dropdown appears beneath the type. Choose your product list there and click save.
See the product list on the website
After saving the menu item, click the button on the top-right side of the screen, which takes you to your website.
Depending on your Joomla theme your visuals may look different. Click on the menu item and you will see the product list and the products that are assigned to it.
Configurator page on the website
Click on the ‘Configure’ button and see the product configurator for the product.
You now have a functional product on your website. Extend the product with images, visualisation, more questions of different types and set rules and calculations.
