Questions

Each Configurator page of the product can have one or multiple questions. You set up questions for every choice that customer shall make choosing this product.

You can choose if the customer needs to answer and set rules for each question and answers to control what questions the customer will see and which answers will be available to him (see more - Compatibility rules).

Start creating questions for your Page by clicking → “Add question”.

To change the order of questions, drag the question in the left-hand-side tree view.

Common question settings

Make answering a question required

See question field ‘Does the question have to be answered?’. With ‘yes’ the configurator will check this question when the user adds the product to the cart.

You can also block page navigation if selections are missing. Enable/disable this in the product at ‘Display in configurator’.

Rules

Rules enable you to show and/or hide questions and answers in the configurator under specific conditions. For more about rules go to “Compatibility Rules” of user manual.

For 4 types of the questions you can predefine the answers.

Example: We are setting up 2 questions for Configurator page 1 of Product 1. Question 1 is “ Text box” and Question 2 is “ Radio buttons” with predefined answers: Option A and Option B.

→ And this is how it will look like in Frontend

Each question can have an extra information or description in case there is needed some explanation to the question. Creating a question go to “ Description” → choose where this information should be displayed and → add text.

Example: We are setting up 2 questions for Configurator page 1 of Product 1. Question 1 is “ Text box” and Question 2 is “ Radio buttons” with predefined answers: Option A and Option B. And Question 2 has some description / extra information.

→ And this is how it will look like in Frontend where extra symbol of information is visible

Each answer to the question can have an image - as soon customer picks this answer then product visualization will change to selected choice. In order to do so - you have to define stack of images. Buy multiple questions and answers with images the system stacks the images of selected answers together. (creating a stack of images - see - Composite Image).

To change the order of questions, drag the question title up or down.

To delete or copy a product, configurator page or question → click on the gear symbol in the left-hand side tree view and “delete” and “copy” options will be available. Note that copying products, pages and questions is a ConfigBox Enterprise feature.
