Independently from Ecommerce tracking you can make Google Analytics goals to make your own custom conversion tracking. You need to have GA tracking code on your site and enable at least regular Ecommerce tracking and supply your property tracking ID. Then CB will start sending out events on paid orders that you can use in GA goals for any use you see fit.

You can track paid orders by setting up a goal with a specific category and action name. ConfigBox sends out the tracking signal automatically once a customer has completed a payment and returns to your site.

Setup in Google Analytics Profile:

Go to the admin area of Google Analytics and navigate to your web property’s view. There click on ‘Goals’, hit ‘New Goal’, choose ‘Place an Order’ from ‘Template’, hit ‘continue’ and enter the following:

Goal Type: Event

Category: configbox_goals

Action: order_payment

Label: leave empty

Value: leave empty

Use the Event value as..: Yes

  • No labels
